All of us have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. While we are continually trying to find new ways to adapt to the situation, we are keeping our clients’ essential needs in mind. Shopping has become burdensome for everyone and is even harder for our clients who rely on public transit and outside resources to help secure their purchases. Given the recent demand of paper products and hygiene products, it has become especially difficult for our clients to obtain these items.
One of our ILS workers, Jeannie, has been proactive in assisting our clients in this time of crisis. With ingenuity and help from friends and family, she has been able to create care packages full of basic needs items that can be difficult to find in stock. These items, paper products, soap, and detergent, will be given to our clients who may be facing barriers into getting to the store. Way to go Jeannie in thinking about the clients we serve in times of difficulties!
Placement Partners is now hoping to expand Jeannie’s efforts such that assistance may be provided to more program participants. Julian, the company’s Employer Affairs Specialist is now taking the charge in reaching out to community employer partners in the hope to secure additional supplies. Placement Partners is reaching out to all program participants on a daily basis to ensure the health and safety of those we serve. We are looking for donations in essential items such as personal hygiene products, household cleaning supplies, First Aid supplies, water and dried or canned food items. We hope that you will consider donating to our organization in this time of need. All items donated will be delivered directly to our program participants. If you wish to contribute, please contact Julian Ngan at 952-769-3546 or [email protected].
